HOW WE STARTED
Hazel's Helping Hands was inspired by a lifelong passion for supporting children in need. My mother always dreamed of opening her home to children in foster care, instilling in me a deep respect for the foster care system and the importance of providing love and stability to vulnerable children.
My husband and I became foster and adoptive parents, dedicating years to creating a safe and nurturing environment for children. While we are no longer licensed foster parents, our comment to the foster care community remains unwavering. We understand what it's like to open your home after a last minute call and not having the time to get the essential needs until the next morning. Hazel's Helping Hands is t the organization that will be here for you in that critical time of need to ease the transition of opening your home.
Hazel's Helping Hands is our way of continuing to serve and support foster children and families by addressing a critical need-- providing clothing and essentials to children entering care, ensuring they feel valued and cared for during a time of uncertainty.
This work honors my mother's vision and allows us to give back to a system that has touched our hearts and lives so profoundly.
